I am a street photographer . I have always been a street photographer . I started out shooting with various 35mm film cameras ( Argus C3 , Canon F1 , Leica M4P and M6 ) and eventually onto digital . I still shoot film on a regular basis .
I love shooting on the street . The energy and constantly changing nature of the street energizes me every time I go out to photograph . I can walk by the same street corner 500 times and see nothing to photograph but on the 501st time , an image suddenly appears . Such is the nature of street shooting .
Two galleries here represent my travels all over the world and my home town Seattle . They are simply labeled digital and film . The gallery , Urban Portraits , represents my fascination with decay , street art and urban life . These images are of decaying posters , billboards and street art . They are then manipulated in Photoshop to produce the final image . The gallery , Urban Still Life , documents my life long obsession with balance , order and symmetry . These images have all been shot on a medium format film camera within the last three years .
My equipment consists of Fuji XPRO2 and GFX50R cameras in digital and Leica M6 , Nikon F2 and F4S , and Pentax 645N ( medium format ) cameras in film .
